Τhe Hellenic Association of Assets and Participations S.A. (HCAP) established the HCAP Innovation Network in 2019.

The purpose of the Innovation Network is to:

Examine possible synergies among the HCAP subsidiaries.

Identify emerging technology solutions that could promote
innovation within the HCAP portfolio of companies.

Investigate international best practices, business models
and innovation standards.

HCAP has undertaken a series of initiatives aiming at the digital transformation and the promotion of innovation within its portfolio companies.

This is a concerted effort to consistently map out the best practices from around the world, in order
for HCAP’s subsidiaries, such as the OASA Group, the PPC Group, EYDAP, GAIAOSE, ELTA, to embrace innovative ideas, redefine their revenue and business models,
introduce new and better services and products for their clients in the Greek market and finally,
rationalize their operating costs through large-scale synergies.

The establishment of HCAP’s Innovation Network constitutes an important opportunity for the companies of the public sector, as it addresses the following two axes:

A. Investigation of technology solutions such as: smart metering, sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) for energy & water utilities and transportation companies, smart buildings and infrastructure, cybersecurity, preventive maintenance, blockchain, circular economy and environmental footprint improvement, e-mobility and smart transportation, machine learning and automation, with the aim to tackle challenges that these companies are facing,

B. Promotion of the extroversion of these companies and networking through cooperation with technology and innovation stakeholders, such as technology leaders, startups, incubators, technology funds, research institutions, etc.

During June and July 2020, the HCAP Innovation Network, in collaboration with MIT Enterprise Forum Greece, hosted a series of webcasts featuring world renowed speakers with scientific and technological background on the following topics:

The coordination and supervision of HCAP’s Innovation Network is undertaken by the Innovation Team.

The Team, functioning as the think tank on digitalization and innovation of state-owned enterprises, consists of members of the Boards of Directors and executives from the HCAP subsidiaries with solid scientific and technological knowledge and experience.
